October 25, 2008 - Acknowledgment Marathon
Do you have the stamina to acknowledge people all day long?  No? That's ok - just go out an acknowledge one person.  Have you ever wanted to make a difference in your community?  How about in the world?  All it takes is to spread the word about Acknowledge U and then to acknowledge people while you're out doing whatever you have planned on this day. Participation can be as easy as a wave, greeting someone, anything that acknowledges their existence as another human.  Sharing this website with people you know anywhere in the world means that we have the possibility of having an impact globally on one day! How cool is that!?

Created by USA WEEKEND Magazine, Make A Difference Day takes place on the 4th Saturday of every October. You can make a difference on that day by letting everyone you know hear about this event, by acknowledging as many people as you can in 24 hours, and then letting us know.  How many people could we impact in one day?

You can let us know that you're going to participate by contacting us at this site, sending us an email (jpal@acknowledgeu.com) or on our blog (http://acknowledgeu.wordpress.com/).  After the Acknowledgment Marathon let us know how many people you acknowledged, who they were (strangers, friends, family) and where there are.  We'll tally the results and post them on this site.

Also, let us know whether we can acknowledge u by listing your name as a participant in the project.
